Bio
Major: Psychology
Emily Shumaker is pursuing a degree in Psychology with hopes of becoming a forensic interviewer, specifically working with children who are victims of abuse — a career path she feels deeply called to.
Her favorite thing about Union is the people she’s met, saying the friendships she’s made here will last a lifetime. In high school, she enjoyed social studies, and in her free time, you can usually find her enjoying her favorite hobby — sleeping.
Her favorite athlete is Raquel Kessler, and she’s a fan of Red Bull and Texas Roadhouse rolls. Emily credits the entire psychology department at Union with having a major positive impact on her academic journey. She also shares a special connection to Union through her brother, who is a graduate as well.
