Connor Partin’s favorite thing about Union is the smaller class sizes, which allow for better focus and stronger connections with professors. One of his favorite hobbies is reading, and he’s passionate about helping others—especially when it comes to overcoming physical challenges. That’s why his dream is to become a physical therapist: to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

In high school, his favorite subject was history, and when it comes to role models, Steve Prefontaine will always be his favorite runner. His go-to drink is chocolate milk, his favorite road trip snack is PayDays, and his favorite meal is chicken alfredo. On social media, he prefers Instagram, and at home, he has three dogs.

As a teammate, Connor sees himself as someone who’s willing to sacrifice for the team, always putting in the work no matter what. He wants to be remembered for the fact that he gave 100% effort in everything he did—even when he failed.

An interesting fact about him: Connor is the first in his family to receive an athletic scholarship. His connection to Union runs deep—his dad and Mamaw both earned their teaching master's degrees from Union. He’s also especially grateful to Coach Jelks, who introduced him to Union and made a lasting impact on his life.

When he’s not running, Connor’s second-best sport is golf.
