Union Cross Country Battles at Maryville College Invitational
MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University cross country teams continued their fall season at the Maryville College Invitational on Friday, racing against a strong field of regional opponents.
Men's Results
The Bulldogs placed sixth overall with a total time of 2:31:57, averaging 30:23 per runner and a team score of 125.
Jackson Crume led Union with a 29:09 finish (5:51 pace), placing 14th overall. Connor Partin followed in 19th place with a time of 29:34 (5:57 pace), while Zabrey Bortz finished 22nd at 29:52 (6:00 pace). Connor Messer crossed in 30:49 (6:12 pace), and Joshua Grubb rounded out at 32:30 (6:32 pace).
Women's Results
The Bulldogs finished seventh overall with a total time of 2:36:47, averaging 31:21 per runner and a team score of 174.
Andrea Smith led the women, clocking 29:31 (7:55 pace) for a 30th-place finish. Jasmine Clouse followed at 30:12 (8:06 pace), and Kaylee Hall ran 30:24 (8:09 pace) to complete Union's top three.
