Union Cross Country Wraps Up NAIA Appalachia Challenge

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University cross country teams continued their fall season at the NAIA Appalachia Challenge on Friday.

Men's Results - 8000

Jackson Crume led the Bulldogs with a 55th-place finish, clocking a time of 25:51.79. His performance set a new program record, breaking a mark that had stood for 17 years. [Click here to learn more.]

Connor Partin followed with a time of 27:43.81, just ahead of Zabrey Bortz, who crossed the line at 27:49.64.

Connor Messer finished in 28:43.03, while Joshua Grubb recorded a time of 30:03.86.

Rounding out the Bulldogs' lineup were Torrean Thornton at 31:15.63 and Michael Golden at 32:09.63.

Women's Results - 5000

Andrea Smith led the Bulldogs with a time of 21:47.31. She was followed closely by Sofia Petz, who finished in 21:59.59.

Jasmine Clouse posted a time of 23:47.86, while Kaylee Hall crossed the line at 24:31.89.

Rounding out the Bulldogs' finishers were Bella Townsend at 28:59.50 and Lydia Workman at 29:49.23.


Up next for Union is the AAC Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 7  in Knoxville, Tenn.
