Major: Nursing

McKenna Pickett is a Nursing major who loves Union’s beautiful campus, especially enjoying daily walks whenever she can. Her dream is to become either a Nurse Practitioner or a CRNA, combining her passion for caring for others with her desire to continue her education after graduation.

McKenna’s favorite subjects in high school were English and Science. Outside the classroom, she enjoys walking, playing Mahjong, and relaxing with a cup of coffee or a Coke Zero. Her go-to road trip snack is Goldfish, and her favorite meal is brunch. She’s most active on Instagram and has an Australian Shepherd named Kirby.

On the court, McKenna considers herself a teammate who pushes others to be their best and always offers encouragement. She wants to be remembered as someone who brought kindness and humor to those around her. She looks up to all professional liberos as her volleyball icons and also has a strong background in basketball, which she considers her second-best sport.

McKenna credits all of her nursing professors at Union with making a lasting impact on her life. Their example of how to be both excellent professionals and compassionate individuals has inspired the way she hopes to carry herself in her own future career.
