Bio

Major: Exercise Science

Jayce Gager is an Exercise Science major who appreciates the people at Union—he says the best part of campus is how everyone looks out for one another and truly cares.

His favorite subject in high school was math, and his dream job is to play Major League Baseball. For Jayce, nothing sounds better than getting to play the game he loves for a living. Off the field, he enjoys golfing and playing video games.

His football icon is Evan McPherson, a kicker he admires for his precision and clutch performances. Jayce’s favorite drink is blue Gatorade, his go-to road trip snack is a blueberry muffin, and his favorite meal is steak with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. He’s most active on Instagram and has three dogs at home.

As a teammate, Jayce sees himself as a team-first kind of guy who’s always willing to do what’s best for the group. He hopes to be remembered as a good person above all else. One interesting fact about him: he holds the school record for most consecutive PATs made.

Jayce credits Coach Day as someone who’s made a positive impact on his life at Union. He also has a special connection to the school—his mother played basketball here. In addition to football, Jayce plays baseball and previously played basketball as well.
