For David Galentine, basketball is more than just a sport, it’s a lifelong passion and the driving force behind his journey at Union Commonwealth University. When he’s not on the court, he enjoys staying active and keeping his energy high, embodying his role as a “hype man” and the motor of the team.

David dreams of owning a construction company one day, inspired by his love of building and creating. His favorite meal is a well-done steak with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, and his go-to drink is A&W root beer. He also enjoys spending time with his horses and writing poetry in his spare time.

A leader who also knows how to follow, David hopes to be remembered as a God-fearing man, a great father, and one of the best to ever play the game. He credits his basketball coach with making a strong positive impact during his time at Union.
