Bio

Major: Psychology
Minor: Business

Tate Spayd is a Psychology major with a Business minor who says his favorite thing about Union is the campus pond—he enjoys being able to fish right where he lives and studies.

His dream is to work for himself by growing his lawn care business into a full real estate empire. In high school, his favorite subject was English, and he admires football icon Ladd McConkey for his determination and grit.

Tate’s go-to drink is peach tea, and his favorite road trip snack is berry Skittles. His ideal meal? A classic steak dinner with a baked potato and broccoli. He’s most active on Snapchat and has three dogs and a fish tank at home.

As a teammate, Tate describes himself as someone who leads by example and brings intensity—especially when things aren’t going right. He wants to be remembered for his relentless work ethic, which also happens to be one of the most interesting things about him. His second-best sport is archery.
