Bio

Major: Health and Physical Education

Qua Powell is a Health and Physical Education major who loves the tight-knit atmosphere at Union, saying his favorite thing is that “everybody knows everybody.”

In his free time, Qua enjoys playing basketball, his second-best sport, and has a passion for cooking. His dream is to become a football coach, driven by his deep love for the game and a desire to lead others.

In high school, his favorite subject was math, and his football icon is Derrick Henry, whose powerful play style he admires. Qua’s favorite drink is Body Armor, and his go-to road trip snack is Mamba. His favorite meal is a hearty plate of steak and potatoes, and his favorite social media platform is TikTok.

As a teammate, Qua sees himself as someone who leads by example, always putting in the work and setting the tone for others. He wants to be remembered as a hard worker and a real stand-up guy—someone his teammates and coaches can count on.
