Major: Education
Minor: Coaching

Zayne Hammack is an Education major with a Coaching minor who says his favorite thing about Union is football—it’s his passion and the driving force behind his college experience.

His favorite subject in high school was social studies, and his dream is to coach and teach so he can give back to his community and make a lasting difference. When he’s not on the field or in the classroom, Zayne enjoys fishing to unwind.

Zayne’s football icon is Ray Lewis, someone he admires for his intensity and leadership. His favorite drink is Arizona Half & Half Sweet Tea, and his go-to road trip snack is honey roasted peanuts. His favorite meal is his mother’s fried chicken and fried potatoes—comfort food that always brings him back home. He’s most active on Instagram and has a boxer dog named Brock.

As a teammate, Zayne considers himself encouraging and someone who lifts others up. He wants to be remembered as a God-fearing man and a good father, brother, son, and friend—someone whose impact goes far beyond football. His second-best sport is wrestling.

Zayne credits Coach Kibb for having a lasting influence on him at Union—helping grow his football knowledge and pushing him to be more than just an athlete.
