Union Men’s Bowling Concludes Memorial Weekend in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth men's bowling team competed this weekend in the MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial on Saturday and the MSC Thomas N. Burris Memorial on Sunday.

Both tournaments were part of the Mid-South Conference and featured four traditional games and eight Baker games, with approximately 125 individual bowlers from 14 schools competing in the men's field.

The Bulldogs finished 14th overall, recording a team total of 3,593, a Baker total of 1,374, and a combined score of 4,967.

Gunner Watson led the team, finishing 31st with a total of 813 pins and averaging 203 over four games.

Hunter Cain placed 47th with 756 pins and a 189 average. Ethan Segna totaled 695 pins, averaging 174, while Timothy Whittaker posted 680 pins with a 170 average.

The Bulldogs improved to 11th place with a team total of 3,980, a Baker total of 1,293, and a combined score of 5,273.

Watson again led Union, scoring 867 pins and averaging 217 over four games to earn a 15th-place finish.

Ethan Segna followed in 39th with 804 pins and a 201 average, while Hunter Cain totaled 800 pins, averaging 200. Ryan Sheidler rounded out the scoring with 752 pins and a 188 average, finishing 56th.

Union men's bowling will return to action at the Mid-South Conference Championships. The tournament runs Thursday, Feb. 5, through Saturday, Feb. 7, at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green, Ky.
