Johnson City, Tenn. -The Union Commonwealth University women's outdoor track and field team made history at the AAC Championships, breaking multiple school records during the meet.
Erin Pease shattered the school record in the heptathlon for the second time this season—and the third time in her career—scoring 4,021 points. She previously set the record earlier this year at the Margaret Simmons Invitational with a total of 3,886 points.
Pease continued her record-breaking performance in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a time of 14.84 to surpass the previous school record of 14.88, set by Olivia Whatley at the Centre Twilight Meet in 2017.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Abby Mabe, Sofia Petz, Jasmine Clouse, and Kaylee Hall also rewrote the record books, finishing with a time of 10:35.06. The previous record of 10:54.15 was set at the 2016 AAC Championships by Jar'Nae Dobson, Kristina Durbin, Haley Layne, and Auburn McCrary.
