Bio

Ryan Stanley enters his role as Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball program with a strong background in player development and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Stanley attended Hendersonville High School, where he was a TSSAA Scholar-Athlete, Varsity Letterman, and earned All-Tournament honors. He continued his playing career at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Kentucky, competing under former Kentucky standout Winston Bennett.

Stanley brings a diverse coaching résumé to the program. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at Cumberland University from 2024–2026, where he contributed to player development and game preparation. Prior to that, he coached at Christian Community Schools from 2021–2024 while also working extensively on the AAU circuit with Stars Basketball Club (2020–2025). In addition, Stanley has been involved with nationally recognized development camps, including CP3 Basketball Camps and Snow Valley Basketball Camps from 2023–2025.

His efforts on the sidelines have earned recognition, including a nomination for Mid-South Assistant Coach of the Year.

Off the court, Stanley enjoys golfing, going to the movies, and traveling with family and friends.
