Union’s William Sykes Breaks School Javelin Record

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Union Commonwealth University's William Sykes set a new school record in the javelin throw at the Jim Green Invitational over the weekend.

Sykes recorded a mark of 55.16 meters (181 feet), surpassing the previous Union record of 52.76 meters set by Garomme Hanna at the EKU Rick Erdmann Twilight in 2024.
