Major: Business Administration & Marketing

Tyler Sturgill values Union Commonwealth University for its small campus, which allows him to feel connected and focused. Known as a positive and uplifting teammate, he brings optimism and encouragement to those around him.

Outside of track and field, Tyler enjoys pursuing his personal goals and ambitions. His favorite subject in high school was math, and he looks up to Noah Lyles as his sport icon. Tyler considers football as his second-best sport and aspires to own his own business or corporation in the future. He hopes to be remembered for his optimism and faith, which guide him both on and off the track.
