Bio

Major: Exercise Science

Connor Partin values the small class sizes at Union Commonwealth University, appreciating how they allow him to learn more closely and connect better with his professors and classmates. On the track and field team, he sees himself as someone who is always willing to sacrifice for his teammates, bringing steady commitment and a genuine love for the sport.

Outside of competition, Connor enjoys fishing and golfing. His dream is to become an athletic trainer, a path that combines his interest in exercise science with his desire to help athletes perform at their best. History was his favorite subject in high school, and Steve Prefontaine remains the athlete he admires most.

Connor’s favorite drink is chocolate milk, and his go to road trip snack is a Payday. He enjoys chicken alfredo and spends time at home with his three dogs Copper, Lilly, and Doc. One thing that sets him apart is that he is graduating a year early.

Professor McKay and Coach Jelks have made the biggest positive impact on his time at Union. He also has a strong family connection to the university, with his grandmother, father, and aunt all earning their teaching master’s degrees here. Outside of track and field, golf is his best sport.
