Zabrey Bortz values his teammates and friends most about Union Commonwealth University, appreciating the relationships that make his experience meaningful.

Sports have always been a big part of Zabrey’s life. Outside of track and field, he enjoys golf and also likes disc golf. He looks up to Jakob Ingebrigtsen as his favorite icon in the sport. Golf is also his second-best sport.

His favorite drink is BodyArmor Lyte, and his favorite road trip snack is Grippos. He enjoys smoked bologna as his favorite meal. At home, he has three dogs, Si, Kopi, and Bentley.

Zabrey hopes to be remembered for leading the team to a top-three finish in the conference. Christopher Jelks has made a strong positive impact on his time at Union, and Coach Payton has also been an important influence.
