Major: Business Administration

Linus Dorst is majoring in business administration as he begins his academic and athletic journey at Union. Before arriving on campus, one of the things that stood out to him most was the kindness of the faculty and staff, which made the transition to studying in the United States feel much more welcoming. Dorst hopes to one day own his own business, attracted by the freedom, creativity, and opportunities that come with entrepreneurship. He is excited to grow both in the classroom and on the field while preparing for a successful future.

Outside of soccer, Dorst enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends. Math was his favorite subject in high school, and his favorite soccer player is Thomas Müller, whose intelligence, leadership, and consistency have inspired him throughout his career. Spaghetti Bolognese is his favorite meal, while orange juice is his drink of choice. On road trips, he's most likely snacking on currants, and Instagram is his favorite social media platform.

Dorst describes himself as a supportive teammate who also enjoys challenging those around him to improve and give their best every day. He hopes to be remembered as someone who was kind and inspired others through both his actions and attitude. One interesting fact about Dorst is that he collects soccer jerseys, reflecting his passion for the sport beyond the field. He has a small dog and says that if he weren't playing soccer, tennis would be his second-best sport. As he begins his time at Union, Dorst looks forward to embracing new experiences, building lasting friendships, and making a positive impact on the Bulldogs' soccer program.
