Major: Exercise Science and Kinesiology

For Donnique Ngugi, the best part of Union Commonwealth University is the people. He loves the close-knit community and the sense of support that surrounds him both on and off the field. While soccer is his passion, he’s also a fan of other sports, with volleyball being his second-best.

Donnique dreams of one day becoming a professional footballer because of his love for the sport and looks up to Lionel Messi as his icon. On the field, he considers himself an uplifting and demanding teammate, always pushing others while encouraging them at the same time. He hopes to be remembered as an entertaining player.

His favorite subject in high school was math. Away from the classroom, he enjoys playing the piano. When it comes to food, his favorite meal is pilau rice with beef stew and his go-to road trip snack is a Payday bar.
