Roux Hardcastle is a Media Communications major with a passion for soccer that runs deep—he’s played since he was 4and dreams of becoming a professional player, saying he “can’t imagine a life without it.”
His favorite thing about Union is the strong sense of community he’s felt from the team—even before officially joining. Off the field, Roux enjoys DJing and music, blending creativity with rhythm.
His favorite subject in high school was Drama/Theatre, and his soccer icons are goalkeeping greats David James and Manuel Neuer. Roux’s go-to drink is espresso, and his favorite meal is sausage and fennel pasta. He prefers Twitter as his social media platform of choice.
With three cats at home, Roux balances his fierce athletic drive with a warm personality. He sees himself as a team-first player, always putting the squad’s needs above his own, and hopes to be remembered for his humanity and kindness.
An interesting fact: he’s been playing men’s football since the age of 15. His second-best sports are middle-distance running and tennis.
