Union Men’s Golf Atomic City Classic Recap

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University men's golf team recently competed in the Atomic City Classic from Oct. 19-21. The Bulldogs placed eighth overall. 

The Bulldogs finished with a combined team score of 618. In round one, the team finished  26-over par. In round two, they finished with a 16-over par to make their overall score +42.

PLAYER RECAPS

Chandler Taylor was the highest placing Bulldog in ninth place with a score of 147. He finished the first round with a 1-over 73 and a 2-over 74 second round to finish at +3 overall.

Luke Townhill followed slightly behind Chandler with a score of 153. In the first round, he finished with a 6-over 78 and a 3-over 75 in the second round to finish 9-over par.

Gabe Raymundo carded scores of 80 and 76 in the first and second round, and finished his outing at 12-over par and a total score of 156.

Todd Sizemore carded a 83 and an 79 in the first and second round, and was 18-over at the end of the outing with a score of 162.

Finishing out the team, Ethan Mott scored  two 16-over  88 scores in the first and second round. He finished at +32 with a total score of 176.

The Bulldogs will travel to Adairsville, Ga. to compete in the AAC Fall Tournament from Sunday, Oct. 26 to Wednesday, Oct. 29.
