Bio

Rodney Haddix, a native of Georgetown, Kentucky, serves as the head men's basketball coach. A 2007 graduate of Scott County High School, Haddix was a three-year letterwinner for the Cardinals before completing his senior season at national powerhouse Findlay Prep, where he averaged 18 points per game.

Haddix continued his playing career at Miami University (Ohio), where he was a three-year member of the RedHawks' program while earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health, graduating in 2012. He later played one season at Georgetown College, helping lead the Tigers to the NAIA Fab Four.

Following his playing career, Haddix built an impressive coaching résumé. At Findlay Prep, he compiled a remarkable 172-25 record over seven years, serving one year as head coach. During his time there, he helped develop 40 Division I players and seven NBA players, including Kelly Oubre Jr., Dillon Brooks, P.J. Washington, and Bol Bol, along with coaching five McDonald's All-Americans.

From 2019–2021, Haddix was an assistant coach at the University of the Cumberlands, helping guide the Patriots to a 41-18 record while developing two NAIA All-Americans. He then returned to Georgetown College as an assistant coach from 2021–2024, where the Tigers posted a 79-23 record, reached the 2023 NAIA Fab Four, and earned Haddix the 2023 Mid-South Conference Assistant Coach of the Year award. During that span, he coached three additional NAIA All-Americans.

In addition to his coaching career, Haddix is a NASM-certified personal trainer.
He and his wife, Cheyenne, have two daughters, Amara (6) and Nia (2). In his free time, Haddix enjoys working out, spending time with his family, building Legos, and home improvement projects.
