Bio

The 2025 campaign will be Day’s fourth season with the Bulldogs. He is a native of Harlan, Ky. Day is UCU’s offensive line coach, while also being Union’s travel and equipment coordinator.

Day was a four-time member of the All-District Team for Harlan Independent High School, while being a two-time All-SEKC selectee. He graduated from Harlan in 2018.

He continued his academic and athletic career at the University of the Cumberlands. With the Patriots; he was named an NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete, received academic all-conference honors, and played in six games during his senior season.

Day graduated from Cumberlands with bachelor’s degrees in both History and Political Science. Day also earned an associate degree in Paralegal Studies. Day has earned two master’s degrees at Union; Healthcare Administration and Business Administration.

Following his time with Cumberlands, he joined Union’s coaching staff as the offensive line coach. In the 2024 season, Day coached freshman Cedric Irvin to a Second-Team All-AAC selection.

His parents are Ray and Tera Day. His father, Ray, is also from Harlan, Ky., where he retired from the Kentucky State Police. Ray has since been the General Manager of Mineshaft Harley Davidson in Pikeville, Ky.

His mother Tera is from Greenup County, Ky., and is an entrepreneur who owns her own event planning company.
