Hawthorne Named AAC Defensive Player of the Week

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Redshirt senior Samuel Hawthorne was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday following his standout performance against Faulkner on Saturday.

Hawthorne recorded nine total tackles in the game, including one solo and eight assisted. He also registered a sack that resulted in a 12-yard loss for Faulkner.
