Mendoza earns another All-American nod

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Another NAIA organization has selected Angel Mendoza to its All-American team.

This time around it was NAIA Ball, who on Friday named the former Union baseball catcher to its Second-Team All-American squad. This comes a little over a week after Mendoza earned the same designation from the NAIA, following a 2023 season in which he was in the top six in the nation in home runs (25), slugging percentage (.895), on-base percentage (.551) and hit by pitches (27).

The home run and hit-by-pitch tallies either broke or tied previous school records.

Mendoza is currently spending his summer preparing for his shot at the next level, competing with the Trenton Thunder of the MLB Draft League.
