Bulldogs Place Fourth at MSC Outdoor Championships

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University archery team turned in a strong performance at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, placing fourth overall while collecting seven total medals.

The Bulldogs finished the competition with two gold medals, two silver medals and three bronze medals across individual, mixed team and team rounds.

Elimination Rounds
Union saw success across multiple divisions in elimination play. In women's recurve, Kaylee Wilson secured a bronze medal with a score of 6. Rylie Baker added another bronze in the women's fixed pins division, posting a score of 135.

Kapt Brandt highlighted the men's competition with a gold-medal finish in men's compound, recording a score of 143. In men's barebow, Kyle Coffey earned silver with a score of 5.

Mixed Team Rounds
The Bulldogs captured a gold medal in mixed compound as Kapt Brandt and Zoie Thompson defeated Lindsey Wilson, 154-145. In mixed barebow, Kyle Coffey and Lily Huckerby added a bronze-medal finish with a score of 6.

Team Rounds
In the men's compound team event, the trio of Kapt Brandt, Sergio Edgar Martinez Cruz and Ryker Jordan combined for a score of 226 to secure the silver medal.

Union's performance at the conference championship showcased depth across all disciplines as the Bulldogs closed out the outdoor season with a top-four finish.
