UCU Archery Finishes Fourth at Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — The Union Commonwealth University archery team placed fourth overall at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships, earning eight total medals during the competition.

The Bulldogs finished the event with two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

Mixed Team Rounds

In mixed compound, Kapt Brandt and Zoie Thompson led UCU with a second-place finish, posting a score of 155 and finishing just behind the University of the Cumberlands. Kyle Coffey and Baylee McQueen secured a third-place finish in mixed barebow with a score of six. Preston Thompson and Allie Riddle placed fourth in mixed fixed pins, recording a score of 148.

Official Team Rounds

Union captured two gold medals during the official team rounds. John Stephens, Kyle Coffey and Braylon Greene earned first place in men's barebow with a final score of six. In men's compound, the trio of Kapt Brandt, Sergio Martinez and Ryker Jordan took gold with a score of 234.

In women's compound, Zoie Thompson, Ava Noehre and Seane Garra earned a silver medal after posting a final score of 216.

Individual Results

Kyle Coffey added another silver medal for the Bulldogs with a second-place finish in men's barebow. In men's compound, Brandt and Martinez finished back-to-back, with Brandt earning silver and Martinez claiming bronze. Thompson placed fourth in women's compound.
