Bio

Bart Osborne brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as Associate Athletic Director for Development and Fundraising. In this position, Osborne oversees all athletic fundraising efforts, including team-specific fundraising, corporate sponsorship opportunities, and athletic facility management. He also leads special projects and serves as a mentor for young coaches within the department.

A 1986 graduate of Seymour High School in Seymour, Tennessee, Osborne went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1991. He continued his academic journey with a Master of Education from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, in 1993.

Osborne’s coaching career spans nearly three decades and includes a range of roles at both the high school and collegiate levels. He began as a graduate assistant at Delta State University from 1991 to 1993 before taking over as head coach at Kirby High School in 1994, where he was named AAA District 15 Coach of the Year. From there, he served as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State University (1995–1997), then at Murray State University (1998–2003), where he helped lead the team to a 2003 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship.

In 2004, Osborne joined Union College, where he served as the head coach until 2020. During his time at Union, the program experienced tremendous success, including:

  • Six 40-plus win seasons

  • Two Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Regular Season Championships

  • One AAC Tournament Championship

  • Two NAIA Region XII Championships

  • One NAIA South Central Super Regional Championship

  • One NAIA World Series appearance, finishing 5th nationally

  • Four NAIA Opening Round appearances

From January 2021 to March 2025, he also worked as a sales representative for Barrier Roofs, a company owned by former baseball alum Justin Barrier. 

Outside of his professional commitments, Osborne enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid fan of college football and baseball. Bart is a proud father to Addison Logan (26) and her husband John David Logan (26) of Arlington, VA; Ensign Leanna Osborne (24) of Coronado Island, CA; and R.J. Osborne (19).
