- Threw for 3 touchdowns in a game for the seventh time in his career against Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) on Aug. 27 2016.
- Posted his fourth career 300-yard passing game with 319 yards against Campbellsville (Ky.) on Sept. 10, 2016.
- Became the third player to amass 50 career touchdown passes on Sept. 10, 2016, at Campbellsville (Ky.).
- Moved up to fourth on the all-time passing list on Sept. 10, 2016.
