Kevin Harrington enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs.
Harrington came to Barbourville from Peachtree High School in Atlanta, where he served as an assistant boys basketball coach for the last two seasons. Before that, Harrington spent one season as the head coach of the American Basketball Association's Atlanta Vision.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Harrington played professionally in China and Mexico for two years, and also played a season for the ABA's Vermont Frost Heaves.
Harrington played collegiately at USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C. for four years, earning a degree in criminal justice from the university in 2004.
Harrington started all four years for the Spartans, earning All-Peach Belt honors in each season. He was also named the Peach Belt's Freshman of the Year during his rookie campaign. In his senior season, Harrington started and played in all 28 games the Spartans took part in on the year, averaging 14.5 points per contest.
In all, Harrington finished his career fourth all-time on the USC-Upstate scoring list.
In his time in the Atlanta area, Harrington was the master trainer for basketball at the Suwanee Sports Academy in Suwanee, Ga. for four years as well.
