  • Nicole Felker begins her first season as the head coach of the Union College softball program. She was named to the post in November of 2016.
  • Served as the interim coach from September to Novemver of 2016.
  • Came to Union as the assistant director of sports communications in February of 2016.
  • Graduated from Bethany College (Kan.) in 2013 and played four seasons on the Swedes' women's basketball and softball teams.
  • As a member of the Swede softball team, she was a three-time All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) First Team honoree at shortstop in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Felker helped Bethany to two KCAC regular-season championships and one tournament title as well as two NAIA National Tournament appearances (2012 and 2013).
  • Felker ended her collegiated career with a .362 average, .394 slugging percentage, 203 hits and 61 RBIs. She ranks second in Bethany history with 87 career stolen bases and fourth all-time in runs scored with 128.
  • In May of 2016, Felker completed her masters in athletic administration from William Woods University (Mo.).
  • She was inducted into the Thompson Valley High School (Colo.) Athletics Hall of Fame in September of 2016.

  • Joined the Union College coaching staff in the fall of 2017.
  • Previously served as a graduate assistant at Alabama State.
  • Was an associate head softball coach for the Knoxville White Lightning 18U TravelBall team.
  • In her first year with Knoxville White Lightning, the team fiished as runner-up in the ASA State tournament and posted a top 60 ranking in the ASA nationals.
  • In her second year, the White Lightning ranked ninth at ASA nationals.
  • Several players from the Knoxville White Lightning have signed to play collegiately under her guidance.
  • Previously, Barbee worked as an intern at the NCCAA in Greenville, S.C., being responsible for nominating student-athletes of the week, proofreading, organization and social media.  
  • As a player, she was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Southern Wesleyan University where she was the first in school history to collect 200 career hits.  
  • She also ranks among the Southern Wesleyan program leaders for at bats (645), games played (207), games started (203), runs (146), home runs (39), and RBI (180).
  • A Second Team NCCAA All-American, Barbee was a multiple-time all-conference selection.
  • Barbee received her B.S. in recreational and sports management in May of 2015 at Southern Wesleyan in Central, S.C.  
  • She is working on obtaining her masters in applied technology.
