BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College volleyball trio of Brooke Vinovich, Monica Moreland and Christina Prindle each captured an Appalachian Athletic Conference weekly award Monday, the organization announced.

Vinovich, a junior from Somerset, Ky., was the AAC Player of the Week honoree and this is her first weekly honor from the conference during her career. Moreland, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., won the AAC Setter of the Week for the third straight time. Prindle's AAC Libero of the Week is the second such award for the junior from Florence, Ky. this season.

Vinovich finished the week with 33 kills and averaged 3.7 kills per set over nine sets. In both matches, she recorded double doubles with 15 kills and 14 digs at Milligan (Tenn.) College. In the Montreat (N.C.) College contest, she posted career highs with 18 kills and 21 digs. She also served two aces with five total blocks.

Moreland used a season-high 44 assists at Montreat to help lead Union to a 3-1 win. She also posted two double doubles in the week, 44 assists and 15 digs at Montreat after a 32 assist and 16 dig performance at Milligan. Moreland totaled 10 kills for the week and nine came at Milligan.

Prindle recorded a school-record 42 digs at Montreat. In Union's 3-2 win at Milligan, she had 16 digs. Prindle served two aces in each match.

Union went 2-0 during the week and both were conference wins. The Lady Bulldogs start this week with an 11-4 record overall with a 7-2 mark in the AAC.

On Friday, Union travels to Covenant (Ga.) College for a 6:30 p.m. match. The Lady Bulldogs won the first meeting 3-0 on Sept. 6.
