MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - The Union College Lady Bulldogs' volleyball team earned a 3-2 Appalachian Athletic Conference win at Milligan (Tenn.) College Thursday.

The fifth set was never in doubt as the Lady Bulldogs reeled off the first five points en route to a 15-5 win. To start the match, Union won the first set with a 25-18 score. Milligan used a 31-29 second-set win to even that match. Union regained control behind a 25-21 victory in the third, however Milligan took the fourth set, 25-15.

The win improved Union's record to 10-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated on the road this season and this was the first five-set match of the season for Union. Milligan falls to 5-13 and 2-3 in the AAC.

Brooke Vinovich (Somerset, Ky.) recorded a season-best 15 kills to lead the Lady Bulldogs' offense. She also added 14 digs. Stephanie Pateman (Weyburn, Canada) had a double-digit kill total with 12.

Suzannah Behnken (Tempe, Ariz.) led the team in the digs category behind a season-best 17. Meg Donnelly (Middletown, Ohio) also recorded a season best with 14 digs.

Christina Prindle (Florence, Ky.) served two aces to go with her 16 digs. Autumn Combs (Florence, Ky.) contributed 10 blocks.

Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) was credited with 32 assists with 16 digs and her nine kills left her one short of a triple-double.

Union travels to Montreat (N.C.) College for a conference contest Saturday at 1 p.m.
