BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College will open the 2008 football season Saturday at Lambuth (Tenn.) University in Jackson, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Eastern.

The Bulldogs will look to snap their 10-game losing streak to the Eagles, who lead the series with an 11-9-1 record. Union last defeated Lambuth in 1997 by a score of 14-10.

Last year's meeting proved to be a track meet as the two squads combined for 92 points, which is the most the two have put up in the 22-year history of the series. Union went into fourth quarter with a three-point lead, but Lambuth recorded the lone fourth-quarter score to pull ou the 48-44 decision.
