BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Steve Beilby has signed his National Letter of Intent, and plans to join the Bulldog program in time for the start of the 2014 season later next month.

Beilby, a defender, joins the Union program from across the pond in York, England, where he prepped at both Woldgate College and York College. At York, he was named the Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season, helping his team win their league as team captain. Beilby has also clubbed with Pocklington Town and UST Academy, also earning Player of the Year honors from Pocklington Town in 2014, as well.

"Steve is very good signing for us and we are very excited to have him joining our program," said Brock. "He is a quality center back, and he has a very good understanding of the game and his position. Technically and tactically, he is a very sound player, and I expect him to come and compete right away."

Beilby plans to major in Business at Union College when he enrolls this Fall. Union is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
