BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College men's soccer head coach Tyler Brock has announced that Darian McCombs has signed his National Letter of Intent, and will join the Bulldog program in time for the start of Preseason Camp in August.

McCombs, a goalkeeper, is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, prepping at University Heights Academy.

There, he garnered a spot on the All-Region Team for three straight seasons (2011-2013), while earning All-District honors in 2012, and a spot on the All-A Tournament Team. McCombs has also clubbed with Western Kentucky United during his playing career, as well.

"We are very excited about having Darian join our program," said Brock. "He is very athletic and has a good range in the goal. Once he gets here and we are able to work him on his technical and tactical side of things, I really think the sky is the limit for him. Darian has all the tools you can't teach. He is a true athlete, and I am excited to see how he grows and matures once he gets into our program."

Darian plans to major in Physical Therapy at Union College.

Union is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
