BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that Alex Tran has signed his National Letter of Intent, and plans to join the Bulldog program in time for the start of the 2014 season later this summer.

Tran, a Louisville, Kentucky native, has prepped at Atherton High School, and clubbed with the Kentucky Fire Juniors. For the Bulldogs, he plans to play at forward.

"We are very happy to have Alex joining our men's program here at Union," said Brock. "Alex is physically a well-built player, and I think when he gets here in preseason it will really help him take his technical and tactical game to another level. Coming out of Louisville, Alex has played again some very good players and that is going to help prepare him for the college jump."

Alex is the son of Nguyen and Cecilia Tran.

Union is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
