BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College's Zach Dillman (JR/Cincinnati, Ohio) has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Baseball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced on Thursday.

Dillman, a junior, earned a spot on the District Two College Division Team as a designated hitter.

In the classroom, Dillman has earned a 3.49 grade point average as a Business Administration major at Union. This marks the second straight season that Dillman has been named to the Academic All-District Team, as he eventually moved onto to taking National Academic All-American honors in 2013.

On the field in 2014, Dillman has logged playing time in 36 games, making 22 starts. Overall, he's recorded 16 RBI and three doubles, scoring six runs, as well.

Dillman is one of 12 players to earn a spot on the District Two College Division Team, which is comprised of NAIA and two-year schools from Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana and Tennessee. He will now move onto the National Ballot, which will be voted on by a select panel of CoSIDA members by May 13.

The Bulldogs finished their 2014 regular season with a 34-18 overall record, 17-10 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Union will open play at the 2014 AAC Tournament on Monday afternoon in Kingsport, Tenn., and will be the number-three seed in the Tournament.
