WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The Union tennis teams closed out the regular season on Wednesday suffering losses at Cumberlands (Ky.). The men's team fell 7-2, while the women lost 9-0.

The men finish the regular season 0-12, while the women are 2-8.

Men's Match - Cumberlands 7, Union 2

Union started the match right with a win in the No. 1 doubles match. However, the Bulldogs registered only one more point after that as Cumberlands scored the 7-2 decision.

Louis Molina (FR/Las Palmas of Canarias, Spain) and Eric Mikhlin (SO/Edgewater, N.J.) teammed up for an 8-3 win over Danilo Garcia and Eduardo Cabrera. However, the Patriots took the other two doubles matches by the scores of 8-1 and 8-1.

Mikhlin notched Union's other point in a thrilling match. He won the first set 6-4 before losing 6-2 in the second to Cabrera. But Mikhlin scored the decision with a 13-11 tie-breaker win.

Cumberlands is 10-5 on the year.

Women's Match - Cumberlands 9, Union 0

The Lady Patriots began the match by sweeping the doubles matches 8-0, 8-0 and 8-3. 

Cumberlands posted four 6-0, 6-0 decisions in singles play as it only dropped five total games in singles.

Cumberlands is 9-6 overall.

Union will play in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Dekalb Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga.
