BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's soccer head coach Camila Mendes has announced that Kyrsten McGuinness has signed her National Letter of Intent, and will join the Bulldog program in time for the Fall Semester and the 2014 season. 

McGuinness, a native of Fredericksburg, Va., will play on defense for the Bulldogs in the fall. In her prep career at James Monroe High School, she earned Battlefield District Honorable Mention honors after her senior season in 2013. McGuinness clubbed with the U18 Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association Impact Premiere, as well.

McGuinness, who was also a mentor in the Student Organization for Developing Attitude, plans to major in either Chemistry or Biology at Union College. She also plans to pursue a Masters Degree once her career is completed and become an occupational therapist.

Union is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
