BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union men's and women's tennis teams dropped another set of matches on Friday, falling to the squads from visiting Cumberlands (Ky.) by the identical scores of 9-0.

The loss drops the Union men to 0-7 overall, while the Union women are 1-6 on the season.

Men's Match - Cumberlands 9, Union 0

Cumberlands took control of the proceedings by sweeping doubles play with a trio of 8-0 victories. 

The Patriots' success continued in singles play as they won all six. Louis Molina (FR/Las Palmas of Canarias, Spain) had the most success for Union as he dropped his match 6-2, 6-1.

Cumberlands improves to 8-3 on the year.

Women's Match - Cumberlands 9, Union 0

Like the men's match, Cumberlands breezed through doubles play, only dropping three games. 

In singles action, Union suffered four 6-0, 6-0 defeats. Karina Ramos had the best showing with a 6-2, 6-0 loss.

Cumberlands is now 6-5 overall.

The Union squads will travel to Campbellsville (Ky.) on Tuesday for their next matches. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
