BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Five Union College relay teams and Michael Viscardi own some of the NAIA’s Top-20 times, the organization announced Wednesday.

Viscardi, a freshman from Marietta, Ga. owns an individual Top-20 time. His No. 16 ranking comes in the 200-yard breaststroke event with a time of two minutes and 19.99 seconds.

He is also a part of the 800 freestyle relay that owns the 12th-ranked time of 8:03.42. Colin McEachran (Blenheim, Canada), Karl Smith (Lexington, Ky.) and Jeremiah Back (Flatgap, Ky.) joined Viscardi on the team.

Two more freestyle teams comprised of Smith, Back, Viscardi and Adam Woodard (Hopkinsville, Ky.) are 13th and 14th in the 400 and 200, respectively. The team posted a time of 1:35.60 in the 200 and 3:29.05 in the 400.

The combination of McEachran, Viscardi, Smith and Woodard swam to a time of 1:48.99 in the 200 medley relay, the 14th best time nationally. The 400 medley relay team of McEachran, Viscardi, Back and Woodard are also 14th with a 4:01.71.

Union will conclude the regular season when Campbellsville (Ky.) University and Eastern Kentucky University visits Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet.
