BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College interim softball head coach Hannah Griffin has announced that three future Bulldog student-athletes recently signed their National Letters of Intent to join the program in time for the 2014-15 season. They are Destinee Arnold, Jessica Bartholomew, and Kristin Jackson.

Arnold, a native of Paris, Ky., has prepped at Bourbon County High School. There, she has been both an All-Region Tournament and All-District Tournament selection on two separate occasions, while also earning a spot on the Junior East All-Star Team. In the last two years, Arnold has broken the school record for most runs scored (57), has collected a hit in 30 straight games, and posted the highest batting average (.505) and on base percentage (.625) on the team.

Bartholomew has prepped at Anderson High School in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. There, she has earned four varsity letters and will be the teams captain during the 2014 season. In her junior year, Bartholomew led her team in home runs and RBI, and as a freshman earned a spot on the All-Conference team.

Jackson, a Mt. Juliet, Tenn. native, has prepped at Mount Juliet High School in her hometown, playing in the outfield for the softball program the last few seasons.

Union is a member of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
