BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College men's and women's swimming teams open the 2014 Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships on Thursday. The event, which will take place at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va., runs through Saturday evening.

For the first time in three years, the Bulldogs will hit the road for the ASC Championships, as the program hosted the event at the Stivers Aquatic Center the last two seasons. In 2013, the Union men's team finished fourth overall, while the women's team placed eighth. Overall, Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) will look to defend its men's title in this weekend's meet, while Notre Dame (Ohio) looks to repeat on the women's side.
