BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union women's basketball team returns to action Thursday when it travels to face Columbia (S.C.) in Appalachian Athletic Conference action. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.

This will be the Bulldogs' first game in 16 days, having last played on Dec. 17 when they defeated host Pikeville (Ky.) 89-88. Union has won three of its last four games and owns a 9-5 overall record and is 5-1 in league play.

Lydia Nash leads the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game, while Haley Perkins and Amber Taylor are not far behind at 14.1 and 13.7. The trio also rank in the top 50 nationally statistically in NAIA Division II. Taylor ranks seventh in total assists (75) and ninth in assists per game (5.357), while Nash is seventh in field-goal percentage (59.7%). Perkins comes in 21st in free-throw percentage (84.8%).

Columbia (5-10 overall, 1-5 AAC) is on a two-game losing skid and has dropped five of its last six contests. The Koalas last win came on Dec. 14 in a 78-74 decision against Voorhees (S.C.).
