MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The Union College men's and women's cross country teams took part in the Maryville (Tenn.) Invitational on Saturday, held on the college's campus.

The Union women's squad competed as a team in the race, finishing seventh overall.

Leading the Bulldogs on the day individually was junior Briana Degennaro, who ran the 5k course in 30:06.29 to place 20th overall. Elsewhere, freshman Becky Allen placed 35th overall after crossing the finish line in 31:56.41, and sophomore Stefanie Edgell finished 39th with a time of 34:34.64.

The lone male to compete for the Bulldogs on the day was freshman Nick Cash, who ran the 8k course in 34:06.61.

The Union cross country teams return to action on Oct. 26, taking part in the Midway (Ky.) Invitational.
