BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union football team opens the home portion of its schedule on Saturday as the Bulldogs welcome Faulkner (Ala.) for a 12 p.m. kickoff.

Union is 0-1 overall, while Faulkner enters the contest 2-0.

The last time these teams met it resulted in a 95-89, triple-overtime slugfest on Nov. 12, 2011, in Montgomery, Ala. The Bulldogs and Eagles set a NAIA record for most points scored combined at 184. In fact, the record was broken by the end of regulation when it was tied at 75-75. Then-sophomore quarterback Josh Hollingsworth threw for a NAIA record 637 yards, and he is back with Faulkner for his senior season and looking to eclipse the 8,000-yard career passing mark.

The Bulldogs are 3-1 all-time versus the Eagles with the lone defeat being the 95-89 game.
