LONDON, Ky. - The Union women's golf team posted a sixth-place finish at the Bill Sergent Invitational, hosted by Cumberlands at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky., on Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs fired a 341 during the final round to give them a total tally of 674. Cumberlands 'A' Team won the event with a 615, while Cumberlands 'B' Team was second at 632. Rounding out the top five of the nine-team field were SCAD-Atlanta (Ga.) in third at 646, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in fourth at 651 and Campbellsville (Ky.) in fifth at 659.

Sydney Smith led Union as she tied for 10th with a two-day score of 159. Katie Nusz finished with a 171 to come in 29th, and Brittany Zins and Danielle Judd tied for 30th as they both posted a 172. Elizabeth Haack shot a 201 to place 51st.

Union returns to action on Sept. 23-24 when it plays in the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational in Athens, Tenn.
