RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The Union College women's soccer team fell in their final match on the weekend at the Marge Evans Classic, losing today to Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio), 10-0, in NAIA action. 

With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-3-0 on the year, while MVNU improved to 2-3-1 with the victory.

In the match, the Lady Cougars scored early and often in the first half, scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes to open a 4-0 lead at intermission. The scoring barrage continued for MVNU in the second half, as they scored six goals to roll to the victory. 

Overall, Mount Vernon Nazarene out-shot Union 26-7, and held a 9-0 edge in corner kicks in the contest.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday, opening Appalachian Athletic Conference play against Truett-McConnell (Ga.) at home. Things get underway at 1 p.m. at Burch/Nau Field.
