BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced that James Paull, a native of Kettering Northamptonshire, United Kingdom, has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Bulldog program.

Paull, a midfielder/forward, prepped at Southfield School in his homeland, clubbing with Rushden & Diamonds F.C. Paull was the top scorer in the Weetabix League in 2009 and 2010, the Players Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011, and the Young Player of the Year in 2012.

"We are very excited about James coming to Union," said Brock. "He plays with a good sense of urgency in the final third and he knows how to create quality chances. There could be some opportunities to see him playing out wide in the midfield as well due to serves and his ability to play with pace.

"James is going provide us with a lot of options going forward and that is something we have not always had here at Union."

Union opens their 2013 season on Aug. 30, hosting Emmanuel (Ga.) at Burch/Nau Field at 12 noon. The match is a part of the inaugural Thomas Trammel Memorial Classic.
